Beneath the church of Santa Rita in Sant’Agostino lies a hypogeum with seven burial chambers, evidence of a layered history spanning centuries, including “more recent” episodes linked to World War II.

As part of the Pulcherrima project, restoration and redevelopment works are currently underway, with the aim of completing the necessary interventions and making these spaces safe and accessible to the public as soon as possible.
